a very obscure creature, the CollectA Doedicurus: TheSouth American, heavily armoured herbivorous glyptodont, Doedicurus, thatlived during the Pleistocene and Holocene periods 2 million to 8,000-7,000years ago joins the Prehistoric Animal series. The animal was related topresent day armadillos, sloths and anteaters and had an average overalllength of around 3.6 m (12 ft). It had an unusually shaped shell and a boneclub-tail that may have been used in trials between males or defense againstpredators such as Smilodon.
