When Is Halloween?
Halloween is celebrated every year on 31st October.
Why Do We Celebrate Halloween?
The origins of Halloween go back to Samhain (pronounced sow-in), an ancient Celtic festival. Samhain was when the Celtic people believed the ghosts of the dead returned to the Earth.
The word "Halloween" comes from All Hallows Eve and translates as "hallowed evening". It wasn 't until the early 20th century that Halloween parties for kids and adults became a popular celebration and continue to be (especially in America) to this day.

To make the spider's body, blow up a big black balloon and a smaller black balloon for the head. Next, tie the two balloons together to create the spider.
For the legs, wrap eight pieces of unfurled wire hanger or 12-gauge craft wire with black faux fur. Use hot-glue to secure. Twist ends of the four lengths together so you create leg bundles. Repeat with the remaining four lengths.
To put the spider together, wrap a black pipe cleaner around the leg bundle twisted ends. Then, wrap pipe cleaner around the spider's neck (where the balloons are tied together). Use fishing wire to hang!
