How To Choose The Right Kids Fancy Dress Costume

Dress to impress! Whether it’s for imaginary play sessions or a fancy dress party, kids love putting on a costume. Here’s everything you need to know about how to pick the right costume for your child.

1. Dress For Comfort

Comfort is key! Little ones aren’t going to enjoy wearing an ill-fitting or scratchy costume as it stops them from being able to play in it. Some things to consider are:

• Itchy labels or seams
• Fabric thickness (making sure it’s appropriate for the season’s temperature)
• Fabric comfort (is it soft?)
• The fit (make sure it’s the right size for their age)

Kids can put on their fluorescent yellow and blue jacket and reach for their wooden tools to get the job done! Includes a builder’s jacket, a wooden saw, screwdriver, wrench, and hammer, plus safety goggles and an ID badge. A builder’s hat is available to buy separately.

Firefighter Dress Up Costume

Suitable for ages 3-5 years

Race to rescue and save the town from danger with our vibrant Firefighter Kids Fancy Dress Costume. Young firefighters can wear their bright red firefighter jacket before hopping into the imaginary fire engine. Includes a long-sleeved firefighter jacket with striped sleeves and a badge, plus a plastic fire extinguisher (that can be filled up with water), a walkie-talkie radio and a megaphone. A fireman's helmet is available to buy separately.

3. Easy To Wear

Choose kids' fancy dress costumes that are simple to get on and off - this helps save you time (and patience) if they want to wear something else!

Our children’s costumes are easy to wear as they come with hook and loop fasteners (velcro). This ensures that kids are able to independently dress themselves (no tricky buttons or zips) and the costumes stay on during playtime. Our builder and firefighter helmets also have adjustable backs to accommodate a range of head sizes.

Each costume is easy to care for, too. Simply pop in the washing machine to have each dress-up set looking as good as new!
